Description

Manage a large, complex production database environment and provide system-level guidance across application, server, storage, and network technologies.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, and maintain core Oracle databases for production, testing, and staging environments globally.
• Own performance and capacity monitoring, identifying bottlenecks and resolving deadlock issues.
• Manage database security, backup, and recovery strategies, ensuring periodic restorations are exercised.
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams on hardware sizing and product developers on database developments.
• Contribute to disaster recovery plans and document database policies, procedures, and standards.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of practical Oracle experience in a production environment.
• Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification.
• Deep expertise in database design, modeling, normalization, and capacity planning.
• Proficiency with Oracle management tools including Data Guard, RMAN, and Data Pump.
• Experience with performance tuning, storage management, and DB clustering technologies.
• Strong understanding of Linux operating systems.
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
• Experience managing databases within organizations requiring 24x7 reliability.

Preferred Skills

• Ability to translate capacity requirements into infrastructure deployment technology.
