Description

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

Ø            Install, configure, and maintain Oracle database instances (All Versions/11g, 12c, 19c).

Ø            Perform routine database monitoring, including performance tuning and query optimization.

Ø            Configure and manage Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC), Data Guard, and RMAN.

Ø            Implement and manage backup, restore, and disaster recovery strategies using RMAN.

Ø            Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, including performance degradation, corruption, and outages.

Ø            Manage Oracle database security (user roles, privileges, encryption, auditing).

Ø            Perform database migrations, upgrades, and patching with minimal downtime.

Ø            Automate administrative tasks using Oracle scripts (PL/SQL, Bash, Perl).

Ø            Monitor capacity planning, storage, and system resources.

Ø            Collaborate with application developers to enhance database performance and scalability.

Ø            Physical Requirements - Ability to work in a standard office environment and May also need to provide support after regular hours, including on-call assistance. 

Roles & Responsibilities (L2/L3 Only)

Ø            Deep expertise in Oracle performance tuning, backups, RMAN, and database optimization.

Ø            Extensive experience with Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and ASM.

Ø            Proficient in PL/SQL scripting and automation.

Ø            Knowledge of Oracle Exadata, Oracle Cloud, and cloud-based solutions (OCI, AWS).

Ø            Strong troubleshooting skills for complex database issues.

Ø            Familiarity with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and other monitoring tools
