Description

You will manage and optimize Oracle database environments to ensure high availability and performance.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement highly available production systems using Hot Standby, Data Guard, and Oracle GoldenGate.
• Resolve database performance, capacity, replication, and distributed data issues.
• Manage database security, installation, maintenance, and backup/recovery processes using RMAN or Network Appliance Snapshots.
• Develop database procedures, triggers, and SQL scripts while enforcing implementation standards.
• Monitor systems for errors and lead troubleshooting efforts for production issues through to resolution.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in Oracle database technologies.
• Proficiency in writing PL/SQL triggers and procedures.
• Strong working knowledge of LINUX and shell scripting.
• Experience configuring database network connectivity.
• Hands-on experience with database backup and recovery techniques using RMAN.
• Practical understanding of Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) and implementation best practices.
• Ability to analyze existing systems to recommend technologies for disaster recovery and high performance.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Oracle GoldenGate, Ansible playbook development, or managing OEM 13c.
• Cloud experience within AWS, OCI, or Azure.
