Description

You will manage and support production application databases to ensure availability, reliability, and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Design physical database structures, including tables, indexes, and procedures, following normalization standards and performance optimization techniques.
• Manage database deployments and promote objects between environments from test to production.
• Implement backup and recovery strategies using RMAN and perform production database recovery when required.
• Execute database migrations, upgrades, performance tuning, clustering, mirroring, and replication.
• Provide technical leadership to developers regarding query efficiency, database design, and utility usage.
• Provide 24x7 on-call support for critical production systems.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in information technology.
• At least 5 years of experience as a relational database administrator.
• Advanced experience with Oracle DB 12c and/or 19c.
• Hands-on experience with RMAN, OEM, and RAC.
• Strong knowledge of SQL databases.
• Advanced understanding of networking concepts and object-oriented technology.
• Experience with data warehousing and business intelligence designs.
• Proven ability in project planning and technical communication.

Preferred Skills

• Master’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience with DB2 or Universe database.
