Description

You will own the full lifecycle of Oracle database administration, including provisioning, maintenance, performance tuning, and high availability management.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end Oracle DBA support, including installation, configuration, upgrades, and real-time production troubleshooting.
• Manage backup, recovery, replication, and sharding strategies across production and non-production environments.
• Diagnose and resolve database performance issues using monitoring tools and advanced tuning techniques.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts for database provisioning, maintenance, and reporting.
• Collaborate with system administrators on Linux/Unix platform issues and support high availability/disaster recovery solutions.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in enterprise Oracle database administration.
• Strong expertise in database performance tuning, troubleshooting, and large-scale best practices.
• Deep knowledge of high availability, disaster recovery, storage technologies, and data replication.
• Experience implementing and auditing database security controls.
• Proficiency in automation using Shell, Python, and configuration management tools like Ansible.
• Strong understanding of Linux and Unix operating systems.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience migrating Oracle databases from on-premises platforms to AWS RDS.
• Familiarity with database monitoring tools and VMware virtualized environments.
