Description

You will manage and maintain large-scale Oracle database environments on AWS and Linux platforms. You will own the release pipeline for database migrations, upgrades, and physical design changes based on logical data modeling. You will execute backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures, including Oracle Data Guard and standby databases. You will troubleshoot and resolve RAC and Red Hat clustering issues. You will tune database and query performance using AWR and Stats Pack reports. You will coordinate maintenance, stress testing, and 7x24 on-call rotations. You will collaborate with developers to analyze transaction access paths and ensure efficient application code.

Responsibilities

• Manage large-scale Oracle database environments on AWS and Linux.

Required Skills

• 5-8 years of IT experience, including 3-5 years as a Lead Oracle DBA.
• Advanced Oracle administration skills with experience in Oracle 12c and 19c.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud environments.
• Proficiency with Oracle RAC, Oracle Data Guard, Oracle Golden Gate, and RMAN.
• Strong Linux, AWS Linux, and Red Hat clustering expertise.
• Expertise in SQL statement tuning and database performance optimization.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent related experience.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Ansible, Jenkins, Docker, or CoreOS.
• Knowledge of MS SQL Server, Postgres, or MongoDB.
• Experience with middleware such as JBoss, IBM WebSphere, JRun, or Tomcat.
