Description

Manage and maintain large-scale Oracle database environments on AWS and Linux platforms.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Own the release pipeline for database migrations, upgrades, and physical design changes.
• Execute backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures using Oracle Data Guard and standby databases.
• Troubleshoot and resolve RAC and Red Hat clustering issues.
• Tune database and query performance using AWR and Stats Pack reports.
• Coordinate maintenance, stress testing, and 7x24 on-call rotations.

Required Skills

• 5-8 years of IT experience, including 3-5 years as a Lead Oracle DBA.
• Advanced Oracle administration skills with experience in Oracle 12c and 19c.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud environments.
• Proficiency with Oracle RAC, Oracle Data Guard, Oracle Golden Gate, and RMAN.
• Strong Linux, AWS Linux, and Red Hat clustering expertise.
• Expertise in SQL statement tuning and database performance optimization.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent related experience.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Ansible, Jenkins, Docker, or CoreOS.
• Knowledge of MS SQL Server, Postgres, or MongoDB.
• Experience with middleware such as JBoss, IBM WebSphere, JRun, or Tomcat.
