Description

You will maintain and enhance internal financial reporting database applications for life insurance.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Translate complex business and actuarial requirements into programming specifications and technology solutions.
• Implement and enhance database applications for new and existing products.
• Automate reporting requirements and produce automated and ad hoc analyses.
• Ensure the successful monthly load of the data warehouse and create control processes.
• Provide L2 & L3 support for FMD Oracle database applications.

Required Skills

• Oracle (11g/19c) proficiency, including Oracle SQL, Oracle PL/SQL, SQL*Plus, and SQL*Loader.
• Minimum 2 years experience with Linux OS, including shell scripting.
• Minimum 2 years experience using TOAD.
• Minimum 2 years experience with Advanced Excel (VLookup/macros).
• Minimum 2 years experience in a database application development or database administrator role.
• Ability to work on multiple projects with a sense of urgency and ability to change focus.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of scheduling tools (ESP/Stonebranch UAC).
• Knowledge of MS-Access or Python.
• Business knowledge of Life Products.
