Description

You will plan, coordinate, and administer database functions, documentation, upgrades, and lifecycle for critical systems.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Ensure performance, security, and availability of all databases.
• Implement common database procedures like backup, recovery, and migration through automation.
• Investigate and resolve database issues, including connectivity and performance degradation.
• Partner with development teams to design efficient and scalable database structures.
• Prepare SOE and Runbook documentation while aligning with ITIL change and incident management processes.

Required Skills

• 8+ years managing Oracle databases (19c & 23ai).
• Hands-on experience with Oracle RAC, Data Guard, Partitioning, Data Pump, and OEM.
• Proven experience in Oracle Database Performance Tuning and handling upgrades/migrations.
• Proficiency with Git, Bitbucket, Github, or Gitlab for version control.
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Salt, or Chef in a GitOps environment.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps or Jenkins.
• Strong ability to plan resource requirements and break down high-level projects.
• Solid experience with large-scale OLTP and OLAP systems.
• Experience in user and tablespace management.
