Description

Manage, maintain, and optimize Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL database systems to ensure performance, security, and availability.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL databases.
  • Monitor performance and implement tuning strategies to enhance efficiency.
  • Implement backup and recovery solutions to safeguard data integrity.
  • Manage user access, security protocols, and regular maintenance tasks including updates and patches.
  • Troubleshoot database issues, resolve bottlenecks, and collaborate with developers on schema design.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA.
  • Proficiency in MySQL and PostgreSQL database management.
  • Strong understanding of database design, normalization, and performance tuning.
  • Experience with backup/recovery solutions and disaster recovery planning.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as SQL, PL/SQL, or Python.
  • Knowledge of database replication and clustering technologies.
  • Experience using monitoring tools like Oracle Enterprise Manager or pgAdmin.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with cloud-based database solutions such as AWS RDS.
