Description

You will own the administration, performance tuning, and high availability of Oracle database environments.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Build, upgrade, and patch Oracle databases and associated software in accordance with vendor best practices.
• Diagnose and resolve database performance or reliability issues, including gathering stats, backup, recovery, and partition administration.
• Install, configure, and maintain Oracle Enterprise Manager ecosystem, including agents, repositories, and management servers in a highly available, load-balanced configuration.
• Implement and administer Oracle DataGuard for replication and ensure the database environment meets security and enterprise build standards.
• Coordinate downtime with application teams and system engineers to implement approved changes and provide technical direction to application developers.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience creating and managing Oracle databases and technologies.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle versions 12c and newer, both standalone and in Multi-Instance Real Application Clusters (RAC).
• Strong background in administering Oracle Enterprise Manager in a highly available, load-balanced configuration.
• Proficiency in RedHat Linux OS versions 6 and newer.
• Proven track record of implementing and administering Oracle DataGuard.
• Hands-on development and maintenance of UNIX Korn or Bash shell scripting.
• Ability to provide technical direction to others, including application developers.

Preferred Skills

• Experience balancing multiple concurrent projects with mid to long-term deliverables.
• Comfortable in high-pressure situations with strong communication skills for technical peers and leadership.
