Description

You will manage and maintain the health, performance, and availability of Oracle database environments.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Monitor database health and performance across RAC, Non-RAC, and Data Guard instances.
• Execute quarterly database and OEM patching requirements.
• Proactively monitor night jobs, including RMAN backups and data purging, taking corrective action as needed.
• Provide technical support for Oracle databases, handling startups, shutdowns, and troubleshooting incidents for DevOps and IT teams.
• Perform ongoing database and query monitoring, including performance tuning and optimization.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in Oracle DBA Administration within medium to large corporate settings.
• 3+ years administering Oracle 19c, including multi-tenant PDB/CDB, Oracle ASM, Oracle Clusterware, and Data Guard.
• 5+ years experience in performance tuning at both instance and SQL statement levels.
• Proficiency in backup and recovery procedures using RMAN.
• Solid system knowledge and experience with Unix/Linux Operating Systems.
• Experience installing and configuring OEM13c for database management.
• Strong SQL skills and understanding of SQL Profiles and query optimization.
• Ability to diagnose issues using OEM tools or Oracle dictionary queries.
