Description

You will engineer and maintain large-scale, distributed database architectures, ensuring high availability, data replication, and performance tuning.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain database schemas and architectures for distributed systems.
• Manage data replication, concurrency control, and high availability challenges.
• Perform data migration, performance tuning, backup, and recovery operations.
• Develop automation solutions using scripts to optimize database workflows.
• Handle complex network environments and ensure system reliability.

Required Skills

• Active TS/SCI security clearance with Full Scope Polygraph (issued within the last 5–6 years, NSA preferred).
• Strong proficiency in Oracle Database with deep expertise in SQL and PL/SQL.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and MongoDB (NoSQL).
• Scripting capabilities in Python, Bash, JavaScript, or Perl.
• Practical experience with distributed systems and complex network topologies.
• Minimum 10 years of database engineering experience.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with Cassandra and advanced MongoDB features.
• Exposure to Agile or SAFe methodologies.
