Description

Manage and optimize highly scalable Oracle database platforms across Linux and engineered systems. Drive performance standards and technical initiatives while maintaining workload management.

Responsibilities

• Manage Oracle internals, including the Optimizer, statistics, partitioning, and physical implementation.
• Execute query performance tuning and optimization (PTO) to maintain system efficiency.
• Develop and maintain database supervising jobs using PL/SQL.
• Oversee replication engineering and distributed replication technologies.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in Oracle Database Administration and Performance Engineering.
• Deep expertise in Oracle internals, Optimizer, and Partition management.
• Proficiency in Query Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO).
• Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager Grid control (OEM 12c).
• Strong Linux shell scripting skills and understanding of Linux performance.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle RAC performance challenges.
• Working knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL.
• Experience with Linux and Windows environments.
• 1+ years of experience with other database platforms such as Postgres, Snowflake, Cassandra, MS SQL Server, or Netezza.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with distributed replication technologies like Oracle GoldenGate or EDB Replication.
• Cloud database platform experience with AWS, Azure, or Oracle OCI.
