Description

You will manage and support Oracle database environments across on-premise and AWS cloud infrastructure.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Support Oracle 11g to 19c RAC databases and manage lifecycle tasks including creation, migration, upgrade, and refresh on AWS RDS.
• Configure and administer high availability features using RAC and ASM in cluster environments.
• Implement and manage Data Guard for database failover between production and DR sites.
• Troubleshoot critical issues such as cluster failures, ASM disk group failures, and performance bottlenecks.

Required Skills

• 9+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA.
• Expertise in Oracle 11g through 19c RAC environments.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle database support on AWS RDS.
• Strong knowledge of Data Guard implementation, switchover, and failover procedures.
• Proficiency in monitoring tools like OEM, Amazon CloudWatch, and S3 for backup and monitoring.
• Deep understanding of Oracle performance tuning, including analyzing AWR/ASH reports.
• Solid working knowledge of Linux and Unix commands, including shell scripting.
• Experience performing database upgrades, patching (CPU/PSU), cloning, and backup/recovery using RMAN.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with operating system performance monitoring and troubleshooting Linux issues.
