Description

Manage and optimize complex database environments across Oracle and PostgreSQL ecosystems. Own the release pipeline, performance tuning, and high availability systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement business solutions for DBMS internals, backup, recovery, and performance monitoring.
• Lead database structure migrations and coordinate infrastructure maintenance, including reorganizations.
• Ensure data access efficiency by analyzing transaction paths with application developers.
• Manage high availability using Oracle standby, Always On SQL Server, and Amazon Aurora Global.
• Mentor infrastructure and application DBA staff to resolve technical challenges.

Required Skills

• 15+ years of progressively responsible system administration and DBMS experience.
• Expertise in Oracle 19c, PostgreSQL, Aurora PostgreSQL, and SQL Server on AWS.
• Proficiency with AWS services: EC2, RDS, Redshift, SCT, DMS, S3, SNS, EBS, Lambda.
• Strong AWS coding skills for Infrastructure as Code solutions.
• Hands-on experience with Ansible, Jenkins, Git, and Elastic DRS.
• Extensive knowledge of physical database design, client/server applications, and data warehousing.
• Experience managing NoSQL databases.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Oracle to PostgreSQL migrations.
