Description

You will manage, monitor, and optimize Oracle database instances across cloud and on-premises environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks related to CPU, memory, disk I/O, and tablespaces.
• Execute database recovery operations, including point-in-time restores and table recovery using Oracle Flashback.
• Manage and monitor application jobs using the Oracle job scheduler.
• Perform periodic security checks to ensure compliance with security policies.
• Validate backup success and maintain required retention periods.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in Oracle database administration.
• Expertise in tuning Oracle instances on Azure VM (RHEL) and AWS RDS.
• Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL.
• Deep knowledge of SQL plan evaluation, query restructuring, and index optimization.
• Experience tuning SGA and PGA.
• Ability to use CloudWatch and Performance Insights for AWS RDS troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in shell scripting on the Linux platform.
• Hands-on experience with SQL Developer, Toad, and Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).
• Proven ability in backup and restore operations.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with on-premises Oracle environments.
