Description

You will manage and maintain large-scale Oracle database systems in production environments.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Oracle database systems, including RAC and high availability features.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform query optimization and tuning.
• Execute regular database backups, recovery, and restoration operations using RMAN.
• Configure and manage Oracle Data Guard for disaster recovery and replication.
• Automate routine DBA tasks through scripting and manage database patching and upgrades.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA managing large-scale production databases.
• Deep knowledge of Oracle Database technologies, including 11g, 12c, and 19c.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle RAC.
• Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL.
• Expertise in database backup and recovery techniques using RMAN.
• Strong understanding of database performance tuning and query optimization.
• Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and DBaaS environments.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Shell, Perl, or Python.
