Key Skills: Oracle DBA, Azure

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable, secure, high-performance database solutions across Azure and on-premises environments.
• Develop data models and schemas for structured and unstructured data, including hybrid integrations with legacy systems.
• Lead database implementation, optimization, and administration across Oracle and related platforms (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and Azure database services).
• Architect and execute end-to-end migrations from on-premises databases to Azure with assessment, planning, execution, and validation while ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity.
• Modernize legacy database platforms using Azure-native services and migration tooling.
• Extend Azure management and governance to hybrid and multi-cloud database environments using Azure Arc.
• Architect and manage database workloads within Azure VMware Solution (AVS) and integrate AVS-hosted databases with Azure-native services.
• Use Azure services for orchestration and observability, including building dashboards and reports with Kusto Query Language (KQL).
• Perform performance tuning, indexing strategies, and query optimization; monitor and troubleshoot database performance across environments.
• Ensure security, encryption, compliance, role-based access control (RBAC), and auditing mechanisms.
• Collaborate with data engineers, software developers, and DevOps teams; provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior database staff.

Skills Required:

• Strong experience in Oracle DBA and Oracle database administration.
• Knowledge of SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and Azure database services.
• Experience with Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance, Cosmos DB, and Azure Synapse.
• Familiarity with Azure migration tools such as DMA, DMS, and Azure Migrate.
• Understanding of Azure Arc, AVS, monitoring, observability, and KQL.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, IaC, Ansible, and Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge of database security, RBAC, auditing, and compliance practices.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and performance tuning skills.
• Ability to work in cloud and hybrid database environments.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
