Description

You will function as an Oracle DBA specializing in environments where .NET applications interact with Oracle databases.

Responsibilities

• Configure and install Oracle Client software and ODP.NET drivers on application servers.
• Create and manage database users with specific privileges for .NET applications.
• Optimize database performance for queries originating from .NET applications, including those using Entity Framework Core.
• Assist developers in deploying .NET stored procedures or functions using tools like the Oracle Deployment Wizard for .NET.
• Diagnose connectivity issues, performance bottlenecks, and errors between the .NET application and Oracle database.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in database administration.
• Deep knowledge of Oracle databases.
• Experience with .NET application architecture and data access patterns.
• Proficiency with Oracle Data Provider for .NET (ODP.NET) and Managed Driver.
• Experience tuning database performance for application-driven queries.
• Familiarity with Entity Framework Core.
• Ability to manage user and schema permissions in Oracle.
• Experience ensuring OEM Agent monitoring is active across environments.
