Description

You own the management and execution of the Exadata and ExaCC patching lifecycle, covering compute nodes, Dom U VMs, Grid Infrastructure, and Databases.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Execute Exadata Infrastructure maintenance, including Quarterly Maintenance Release (QMR) and Security Monthly Maintenance (SMR).
• Plan, schedule, and execute OCI patching cycles across ExaCC infrastructure, DomU OS images, and compute OS instances.
• Manage Oracle RAC patching for GRID, RDBMS, and ASM, integrating operations via LCM Fleet with OEM.
• Create infrastructure maintenance policies, define maintenance windows, and prepare for pre-maintenance activities.
• Perform patch impact assessments, risk evaluations, and define rollback strategies while documenting all procedures.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of experience in Oracle EBS environments.
• Proficiency with Linux and Oracle DBA tasks.
• Hands-on experience managing Exadata infrastructure.
• Experience automating patching workflows using Terraform and Ansible.
• Knowledge of Grid Infrastructure, RDBMS, and ASM patching procedures.
• Ability to use OCI console, CLI, and Rest APIs for patch management.
• Experience with Data Guard enabled patching procedures.
• Familiarity with PSU/CPU, Third-Party, and one-off patching execution.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 2+ years of tenure in previous similar roles.
