Description

  • Provide subject matter expertise across Oracle EBS R12 Finance modules: General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Fixed Assets (FA), Cash Management (CE), iExpenses, and eBusiness Tax.
  • Lead requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, and solution design workshops; translate business requirements into functional configurations and design documents (MD050, BR100).
  • Configure EBS financial structures including Chart of Accounts, Key Flexfields, Ledgers, Legal Entities, Operating Units, and Multi-Org (MOAC) setup.
  • Design and configure Subledger Accounting (SLA) rules, journal sources, journal categories, and accounting event models.
  • Support data migration using Web ADI, SQL Loader, and open interface tables for financial master data and transactional conversions.
  • Develop test scenarios and scripts; lead unit, integration, and user acceptance testing phases.
  • Mentor junior consultants; act as primary client point of contact for the Finance workstream.
  • Configure financial reporting using Financial Statement Generator (FSG), Oracle BI Publisher, and Oracle Discoverer/OTBI.
  • Facilitate end-user and train-the-trainer sessions; produce functional documentation and training materials.
  • Collaborate with technical teams on customisations, workflow configurations (Oracle Workflow / AME), and third-party integrations.
  • Support period-end and year-end close processes; provide post-go-live hypercare and ongoing system support.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5 or more years of Oracle EBS R12 Finance functional experience with at least two full-cycle implementations or major upgrades as Senior Consultant or Functional Lead.
  • Deep hands-on expertise in two or more EBS Finance modules: GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, or iExpenses.
  • Proven experience configuring enterprise financial structures: Chart of Accounts, Ledgers, Legal Entities, Operating Units, and Multi-Org (MOAC).
  • Hands-on experience with Subledger Accounting (SLA) configuration and accounting rule design in EBS R12.
  • Experience with EBS data migration tools: Web ADI, SQL Loader, and open interface / API tables.
  • Strong understanding of period close, year-end close, multi-currency revaluation, intercompany accounting, and bank reconciliation processes.
  • Experience with Financial Statement Generator (FSG), BI Publisher, and reporting tools for EBS Finance.
  • Knowledge of eBusiness Tax configuration (AP/AR tax, tax regimes, rates, and rules) in R12.
  • Familiarity with Oracle Workflow and Approvals Management Engine (AME) for finance transaction approvals.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; experience across the full implementation lifecycle (AIM or OUM methodology).
  • Able to work independently and mentor junior team members in a fast-paced consulting environment.
  • Strong communication and client-facing skills; comfortable engaging with senior Finance and Accounting stakeholders.
  • Understanding of P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and financial control requirements across multiple industries.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Travel: No regular travel required. May require work from home with reliable internet, phone, and distraction-free workspace.
  • Degree: Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice to Have

  • Oracle EBS R12 Finance certification preferred.
  • Experience with Oracle EBS R12.2 (Online Patching / ADOP) and EBS upgrade projects preferred.
  • Exposure to Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials and EBS-to-Fusion Cloud migration experience is a strong plus.
  • Experience integrating EBS Finance with Oracle EPM Cloud (FCCS, PBCS) or on-premise Hyperion for consolidation and planning.
