Description

You will install, configure, and maintain Oracle database instances across versions 11g, 12c, and 19c. You own routine database monitoring, performance tuning, and query optimization. You configure and manage Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC), Data Guard, and RMAN. You implement backup, restore, and disaster recovery strategies using RMAN. You troubleshoot and resolve database issues including performance degradation, corruption, and outages. You manage database security through user roles, privileges, encryption, and auditing. You perform database migrations, upgrades, and patching with minimal downtime. You automate administrative tasks using Oracle scripts in PL/SQL, Bash, and Perl. You monitor capacity planning, storage, and system resources. You collaborate with application developers to enhance database performance and scalability. You provide support after regular hours, including on-call assistance.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with Oracle Database administration.
• Strong proficiency in PL/SQL for scripting and automation.
• Hands-on experience with RMAN for backup and recovery.
• Proficiency in Bash and Perl for automation tasks.
• Experience configuring Oracle RAC and Data Guard.
• Ability to perform performance tuning and query optimization.
• Experience with database security management (roles, privileges, encryption).
• Ability to work in a standard office environment in Cincinnati, OH.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with capacity planning and storage monitoring.
• Availability for after-hours support and on-call assistance.
