Role Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Oracle Middleware / Integration Engineer with strong hands-on development and implementation experience in Oracle integration technologies. The candidate should have practical project experience in at least two of the following areas: Oracle SOA/OSB, ODI, MFT, API Gateway/APIPCS.
The role will involve development, implementation, troubleshooting, upgrade support, automation, and production support for enterprise integration platforms. The candidate should also have experience in building automations using Python, scripting, or AI-based models/tools to improve operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
The candidate will be responsible for:
•Designing, developing, implementing, and supporting enterprise integration solutions using Oracle Middleware technologies.
•Working on at least two of the following technology areas:
o Oracle SOA Suite / OSB
o Oracle Data Integrator, ODI
o Oracle Managed File Transfer, MFT
o Oracle API Gateway / APIPCS / API Management
•Developing and maintaining integrations, interfaces, file transfers, APIs, data flows, mappings, packages, and process orchestrations.
•Supporting implementation, migration, upgrade, and enhancement projects across middleware platforms.
•Troubleshooting production issues related to integrations, APIs, file transfers, data loads, adapters, WebLogic deployments, connectivity, certificates, performance, and failures.
•Working with business, functional, technical, and infrastructure teams to analyze requirements and deliver stable solutions.
•Creating automation scripts using Python, Shell scripting, or other tools to reduce manual effort in monitoring, reporting, deployment, validation, and operational tasks.
•Using AI models or AI-enabled automation tools, where applicable, to improve support productivity, issue analysis, documentation, and repetitive task execution.
•Participating in testing, defect resolution, deployment activities, documentation, and production cutover support.
•Supporting BAU operations, incident resolution, service requests, and SLA-driven production support.
•Contributing to platform upgrade activities, especially middleware upgrades and migration from older versions to newer supported versions.
Mandatory Skills
The candidate must have:
•6 to 10 years of IT experience, preferably in Oracle Middleware, integration, or enterprise application development.
•Hands-on development and implementation experience in any two or more of the following:
o Oracle SOA Suite / OSB – BPEL, Mediator, business services, proxy services, adapters, composite deployments, error handling.
o Oracle ODI – mappings, packages, load plans, scenarios, agents, data integration, ETL/ELT implementation.
o Oracle MFT – file transfer flows, SFTP, PGP encryption/decryption, partner setup, monitoring, retries, error handling.
o Oracle API Gateway / APIPCS / API Management – API creation, policies, security, routing, throttling, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
•Good understanding of integration patterns, APIs, SOAP/REST services, XML, XSD, WSDL, JSON, and file-based integrations.
•Experience with Oracle WebLogic Server, deployments, logs, managed servers, data sources, JMS, and basic administration.
•Strong troubleshooting skills for production issues.
•Working knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL.
•Experience with Linux/Unix commands and basic shell scripting.
•Experience in automation using Python or equivalent scripting.
•Good communication skills and ability to work with multiple teams.
•Ability to work in a support-driven environment with SLA commitments.
Automation / AI Skills Required:
The candidate should have experience in one or more of the following:
•Python-based automation for monitoring, reporting, log analysis, deployment validation, health checks, or operational tasks.
•Automating repetitive support activities using scripts or tools.
•Using AI models or GenAI tools for issue summarization, log analysis, documentation, knowledge extraction, test case generation, or support productivity improvement.
•Basic understanding of REST APIs and how to integrate automation scripts with external systems.
•Experience with Python libraries for file handling, API calls, data processing, or automation will be an advantage.
Good to Have Skills
•Oracle Integration Cloud, OIC.
•Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, OCI.
•Java/J2EE basics.
•CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, Maven, or similar tools.
•Monitoring tools, alerting frameworks, or dashboard creation.
•Experience in middleware upgrade projects, especially Oracle Fusion Middleware 12c to 14c.
•Experience in DR testing, performance tuning, capacity planning, and production readiness reviews.
•Knowledge of certificates, SSL, SFTP, PGP, OAuth, basic authentication, API security, and network troubleshooting.
•Experience working in retail, finance, or large enterprise support environments.
