Description

Develop and optimize database logic and shell scripts within a Linux environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance Oracle PL/SQL packages, stored procedures, and Linux shell scripts based on new requirements.
• Generate complex database extracts using advanced Oracle concepts including types, PL/SQL tables, V-Arrays, and dynamic SQL.
• Perform SQL tuning and performance optimization for PL/SQL programs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex database and scripting issues.
• Work within an Agile Scrum software development methodology.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Oracle PL/SQL programming.
• Proficiency with SQL*Plus, SQL*Loader, and TOAD or SQL Navigator.
• Hands-on experience with Linux shell scripting.
• Expertise in Oracle Advanced concepts: types, PL/SQL tables, V-Arrays, and dynamic SQL.
• Strong skills in SQL tuning and performance optimization.
• Experience working in Linux environments.
• Ability to read, understand, and improve existing codebases.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Microsoft VB.NET application development.
