Description

Manage critical database operations, troubleshoot application logic, and maintain operational governance for batch processing and system stability.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage daily/overnight batch jobs using Unix shell and SQL/PLSQL steps, validating conditions and recovering skipped steps.
• Investigate system failures by reviewing logs, pinpointing root causes, and documenting Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
• Analyze PL/SQL packages and procedures to identify defects, diagnosing long-running queries using execution plans.
• Validate expected behavior for Manhattan UI configuration changes by creating and executing test scenarios.
• Maintain operational governance by publishing daily status updates, prioritizing items by SLA, and adhering to change processes in ServiceNow.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of professional experience in database development and operations.
• Expert proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL.
• Experience with Unix Shell scripting for batch job management.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow for incident and change management processes.
• Ability to analyze and interpret database execution plans.
• Understanding of entity-relationship (ER) models for core database tables.
• Experience performing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on system failures.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Manhattan UI configuration and validation.
• Background in operational governance and SLA management.
