Description

You will design, code, and support Oracle databases and reports for the Statewide Education Data System, serving Texas school districts.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and enhance database structures and Jasper Reports for complex data aggregation.
• Develop and maintain PL/SQL stored procedures and SQL queries.
• Execute unit testing and debug core and PEIMS projects.
• Collaborate with agency stakeholders to ensure report accuracy and efficacy.
• Manage project scope and provide status updates within an Agile-like SDLC.

Required Skills

• 8+ years designing, coding, and supporting Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.
• 8+ years of Jasper Reports development experience.
• 8+ years performing unit testing.
• 8+ years working within Agile methodologies.
• Strong ability to devise approaches for complex problem-solving.
• Experience with the software development life cycle (SDLC).

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of JIRA and Bitbucket.
• Experience with the Texas Student Data System (TSDS).
