Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain Oracle PL/SQL procedures, packages, functions, triggers, and views.
  • Develop and optimize high-performance SQL queries for large data volumes and near-real-time processing.
  • Perform SQL/PLSQL performance tuning, execution plan analysis, and indexing optimization.
  • Support business-critical batch jobs, EOD processing, and scheduled data workflows.
  • Collaborate with business and application teams to understand and implement requirements.
  • Provide production support, incident resolution, and root cause analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with SDLC, security, audit, and change management standards.
  • Support data migration, reconciliation, and ETL processes.
  • Maintain technical documentation, perform code reviews, and support releases.
  • Work within Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall delivery environments.

Required Technical Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience with Oracle PL/SQL and SQL.
  • Experience with Oracle Database 12c/19c.
  • Expertise in stored procedures, packages, triggers, cursors, and collections.
  • Strong performance tuning skills using explain plans, indexing, and partitioning.
  • Experience in Unix/Linux environments.
  • Proficiency with Oracle SQL Developer and/or TOAD.
  • Experience supporting production systems in regulated environments.

Preferred Banking Experience

  • Banking or Financial Services domain experience.
  • Exposure to high-availability systems, data controls, reconciliation, and audit requirements.
  • Understanding of SOX, data security, segregation of duties, and change governance.
  • Experience with large transactional datasets and batch processing architectures.

Good to Have

  • Exposure to ETL tools and scheduling tools such as Control-M or AutoSys.
  • Unix shell scripting.
  • Data modeling and schema design.
  • Experience working in global onsite-offshore delivery models.
