Description

You will manage database migrations, development, and performance tuning across Oracle and PostgreSQL environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Migrate Oracle databases to open-source PostgreSQL instances.
• Design and develop schemas, tables, triggers, indexes, sequences, and constraints.
• Write database scripts using stored functions, procedures, packages, and triggers.
• Optimize database designs to improve system efficiency and quality.
• Develop ETL code, update SQL statements, and create shell scripts for automation.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of experience in database engineering.
• Strong proficiency in Oracle DB (11G, 12C, 19C).
• Expertise in SQL and PL/SQL.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and PL/pgSQL.
• Hands-on use of SQL tools such as SQL*Plus, TOAD, and pgAdmin.
• Ability to analyze business requirements to build efficient database models.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with migration tools like Ora2Pg and PGLoader.
• Knowledge of Java, Shell Scripting, Jenkins, and the EDI domain.
