Description

You will own the architecture and implementation strategy for large-scale Point of Sale (POS) and backend retail/food & beverage systems using Oracle Symphony.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and document high-level and detailed solution architectures, including component, domain, and deployment diagrams.
• Define Oracle Symphony architecture patterns covering menus, SKUs, pricing, promotions, and backend configurations.
• Develop integration strategies focusing on security, performance, scalability, and resiliency across applications.
• Lead microservices and API-based integrations, including integration into mobile applications.
• Provide technical leadership, perform architecture reviews, and advise delivery and operations teams.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of progressive experience in software engineering or solution architecture.
• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Symphony or Oracle Retail/Hospitality platforms.
• Deep understanding of POS systems in retail, hospitality, or food & beverage environments.
• Proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Expertise in REST API design, microservices architecture, and messaging queues.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Experience with cloud platforms, specifically AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and DevOps practices.
