Description

Manage ESRI and Schneider-based GIS environments, Oracle databases, and Windows/Unix platforms.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and upgrade GIS applications including ArcGIS SDE, ArcFM, and ArcIMS.
• Design and manage SDE-Oracle database storage, dbtune configuration, and spatial index creation.
• Deploy disaster recovery plans using RMAN, Data Pump, and export/import methods.
• Automate database maintenance and environment refreshes using PL/SQL, shell scripts, and batch scripts.
• Monitor OS performance (I/O, CPU, memory, network) to optimize storage and prevent out-of-space conditions.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of experience in GIS and database administration.
• Expertise with ArcGIS, MapInfo, Oracle Spatial, ArcGIS Server, and Portal.
• Proficiency in managing Oracle Applications, Oracle Fusion Middleware, and SAP.
• Hands-on experience with MySQL, DB2, and SQL Server.
• Strong knowledge of RMAN, Data Pump, and transportable tablespaces.
• Ability to write PL/SQL programs for automation.
• Experience managing FlexLM license files.
• Competency in Unix and Windows server environments.

Preferred Skills

• Experience managing database security, user roles, and auditing strategies for SOX Act compliance.
