Description

You will manage and maintain complex database environments across Oracle, SQL Server, and GIS platforms.

Responsibilities

• Manage installation, configuration, and upgrades for GIS applications including ESRI’s ArcSDE, ArcFM, and ArcIMS on Windows and Unix servers.
• Design and deploy disaster recovery plans using RMAN, Data Pump, and export/import methods.
• Develop and deploy PL/SQL programs to automate database maintenance and routine activities.
• Configure and manage Hot Standby Databases and Data Guard across multiple servers.
• Monitor OS performance including file system utilization, CPU, swap, and network tracing for Oracle environments.
• Administer database security, user roles, privileges, and audit procedures.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in database administration.
• Advanced SQL development and expertise in creating stored procedures.
• Proficiency with Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, and Oracle SQL Developer.
• Experience managing MySQL, DB2, and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Hands-on experience with GIS technologies including ArcGIS, MapInfo, and Oracle Spatial.
• Competency in loading spatial and non-spatial data using SQL Loader and Transportable Tablespace.
• Experience with server consolidation and migrating workloads from Solaris to Linux.
• Knowledge of Oracle Fusion Middleware and SAP.
• Ability to perform functional, unit, and integration testing to assist developers.

Preferred Skills

• ArcGIS Server and Portal experience.
• Oracle Utilities.
