Description

You manage the technical lifecycle of ORAN and vRAN deployments, from lab vendor reviews to field troubleshooting.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Lead troubleshooting efforts with Market Teams to resolve complex RF and RAN system issues.
• Participate in vendor engineering reviews of hardware and software development in lab Proof of Concept environments.
• Develop performance monitoring metrics and service assurance protocols for virtualized ORAN functions.
• Coordinate system changes with Certification Labs for validation and produce updated technical specifications and release plans.
• Document final process configurations and MOPs in collaboration with technical writers to support Field Operations.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in the wireless industry.
• Extensive understanding of 5G ORAN / vRAN split functions (7-2x, RU, DU, CU, CP, UP).
• Experience with RAN/vRAN software architectures in virtualized environments.
• Knowledge of RF Radio operations over eCPRI interfaces, including CSR and DU timing configurations.
• Understanding of software systems and services running virtualized ORAN functions.
• Familiarity with latency considerations from gNB to Data Center locations.
• Experience with virtualized networks, orchestration, and automation across large network architectures.
• Thorough understanding of vRAN/ORAN architecture per 3GPP standards (Rel 15 & 16).
• Proficiency with LTE, VoLTE, and 5G VoNR L2/L3 call flows and trace analysis (PCAP, GNB traces).

Preferred Skills

• Experience in RF Design, Optimization, and performance improvement.
