You bridge system engineering and business analysis to deliver functional specifications for OSS projects.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate the impact of development approaches, proposed requirements, and chosen methodologies.
• Collaborate with end clients and business analysts to prepare functional specifications during the requirements stage.
• Direct offshore teams in documenting functional requirements for client submission and approval.
• Prepare technical design documents and implement client revisions into the application design.
• Draft workflows and sequence diagrams using tools like MS Visio and websequence.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in system engineering and business analysis.
• Deep knowledge of Layer 2 access technologies including VDSL2, ADSL2+, bonded pair VDSL2, GPON, and Fixed Wireless.
• Hands-on experience with HSIA, IPTV, CVoIP, FBS, ASEoLs, and NextGen Fixed Wireless.
• Solid networking knowledge covering TCP/IP and OSI network layers.
• Technical proficiency in Java, J2EE, and JSON messaging.
• Experience building interfaces using REST API.
• Proficiency writing requirements in Gherkin format.
• Experience implementing BDD and Cucumber within development teams.
• Expertise in writing user stories and working within Agile frameworks and methodologies.

Preferred Skills

• Prior experience with OSS Systems focusing on Transport Activation, Service Provisioning, Service Assurance, Network Plan-Build, and Workflow Management.
• Understanding of SDN/NFV.
