Description

Lead the migration of legacy business logic to modern Spring-based applications in Omaha, NE.

Responsibilities

• Extract business logic from legacy Java Swing and EJB 1.x/2.x applications.
• Develop new applications using Spring Boot, MVC, and Data JPA.
• Map existing EJB persistence implementations to Java/Spring JPA.
• Build web pages in JSP using HTML5, CSS3, and JS based on UX designs.
• Maintain DevOps pipelines using GitHub, Jenkins, and AWS tools.

Required Skills

• Extensive experience with Java and JEE (EJB, JMS, JAX-RS, JPA, JSP).
• Proficiency in Spring (Boot, MVC, REST, Data JPA, Security).
• Experience with Web Services (SOAP/REST).
• Strong front-end skills in HTML5, CSS3, and JS Frameworks.
• Experience with SQL/PLSQL and database management in Oracle, DB2, or AWS RDS (PostgreSQL).
• Unit testing expertise using JUnit, Mockito, and Power Mock.
• Familiarity with AWS services including EC2, RDS, ELB, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, and CodePipeline.
• Experience using application servers like Tomcat and WebLogic.

Preferred Skills

• Experience managing database datatype updates and JPA mapping.
