Description

You will apply engineering principles to design, qualify, and implement primary and secondary packaging components and associated systems.

Responsibilities

• Execute testing and evaluation to recommend and select primary and secondary packaging materials.
• Write test protocols, perform technical evaluations, and produce reports to justify material and component selection.
• Create technical specifications, engineering drawings, and artwork templates.
• Support line trials and packaging validation activities for new components or process changes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Quality, Device Engineering, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing.

Required Skills

• Experience with AutoCAD and Adobe Illustrator for creating and modifying engineering drawings and templates.
• Knowledge of materials science and primary/secondary packaging systems.
• Familiarity with material testing standards, requirements, and equipment.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
• Background in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Packaging Design.
• Strong technical problem-solving and project management skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Thousand Oaks, CA.

Preferred Skills

• BS in Packaging, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Life Sciences.
