Description

You will manage the selection, testing, and validation of primary and secondary packaging materials in a biotech or pharma environment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Execute testing and evaluation to recommend and select primary and secondary packaging materials.
• Write test protocols, technical specifications, and engineering drawings.
• Perform technical evaluations and material testing to support justification reports.
• Support line trials and packaging validation activities for new components or process changes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Quality, Device Engineering, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing.

Required Skills

• Packaging Engineering experience with a focus on material science.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Illustrator, or similar software for engineering drawings and artwork templates.
• Experience with Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
• Knowledge of material testing standards, requirements, and equipment.
• Strong technical problem-solving and project management skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Thousand Oaks, CA.

Preferred Skills

• BS in Packaging, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related Life Sciences.
• 3+ years of general packaging or engineering experience.
