Description

You will own the performance engineering lifecycle for containerized applications and mainframe integrations in Plano, TX.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute performance, load, stress, and soak testing strategies for Docker and Kubernetes environments.
• Identify bottlenecks in applications, infrastructure, and container orchestration platforms using APM and observability tools.
• Analyze test results and production metrics to provide actionable recommendations for tuning and optimization.
• Integrate performance testing frameworks into CI/CD pipelines and collaborate with DevOps and QA teams.
• Maintain and develop performance testing tools and monitor system health in pre-production and production.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in performance engineering and testing.
• Deep expertise with containerization: Docker (image optimization, management) and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency with performance testing tools: JMeter, Gatling, K6, or Artillery.
• Hands-on experience with APM and observability platforms: Dynatrace, New Relic, AppDynamics, Prometheus, or Grafana.
• Strong programming and scripting skills in Python, Java, or Go.
• Experience with cloud technologies, specifically AWS and Lambda.
• Understanding of CI/CD principles, microservices architecture, and Git.
