Description

You will own performance benchmarking, analysis, and regression tracking for FlashArray products.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Build and review performance benchmarking requirements and metrics to ensure platform performance.
• Develop benchmarking strategies for product features and validate customer scenarios with solutions and sales engineering.
• Automate performance benchmarking, data collection, and analysis processes.
• Track benchmarking goals during release cycles to identify and address build-to-build performance regressions.
• Analyze test results to identify bottlenecks and collaborate with development teams to resolve issues.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of experience building systems software.
• 5+ years of experience in system-level performance testing for servers, storage, or databases.
• Deep knowledge of SAN, iSCSI, NFS, and SMB protocols.
• Strong Linux systems expertise, including network configuration, storage stack, and system settings.
• MS in Computer Science or a related technical field (BS with comparable experience accepted).
• Analytical and problem-solving skills for interpreting data from performance experiments.

Preferred Skills

• Proficiency in C++ and Python.
• Experience with NAND flash and FIO.
