Description

You will build and mature profiling and optimization capabilities to maximize infrastructure value and reduce inefficiencies for large-scale data processing platforms.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Build and mature profiling and optimization capabilities to reduce overhead and maximize infrastructure value.
• Troubleshoot and optimize data systems while evaluating implemented systems for variances, discrepancies, and efficiency.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure Engineering, SRE, and Product teams to embed profiling capabilities into the workflow.
• Conduct code reviews, establish code standards, and implement technical improvements to the product.
• Prepare functional and design specifications, providing estimations and ensuring delivery within set deadlines.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience as a Performance Engineer.
• Proficiency in Python, C++, and Java.
• Expertise in performance analysis and optimization tools including Perf, PyPerf, Gprofiler, Java Async Profiler, and Dynalog.
• Strong object-oriented programming (OOP) skills.
• Knowledge of queuing services such as SQS and Kafka.
• Experience with time-series databases like Clickhouse.
• Ability to debug complex performance issues and provide actionable optimization recommendations.
