Description

You will own the analysis, testing, and tuning of distributed platforms and n-tier J2EE applications.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and tune performance across Linux, Windows, AWS, Containers, and VMware environments.
• Execute load testing using JMeter or LoadRunner to validate system behavior.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and integrate performance testing workflows using Jenkins.
• Model key performance and volume metrics using queuing networks and simulation techniques.
• Perform data exploration using descriptive statistics, graphical analysis, and time series forecasting.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of related experience, including at least 6 years in performance engineering.
• 4+ years developing n-tier, J2EE software applications.
• 4+ years working in Unix or Linux environments.
• Proficiency in scripting with Perl, Unix shell, Python, Terraform, Chef, or Jenkins.
• Experience with performance analysis tools such as TeamQuest, OMi, CloudWatch, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Splunk, or DataDog.
• Knowledge of JMS/IBM-MQ messaging systems and RESTful web services (JSON, XML).
• Experience with relational databases (Oracle, MSSQL) and MongoDB.
• Experience with AWS services (Kinesis, Elastic Beanstalk, CloudWatch, Lambda) and Azure services (Virtual Machine, Service Bus, Kubernetes).
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in the financial services industry.
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum teams.
