Description

You will own the end-to-end performance engineering lifecycle for financial services applications and microservices.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Define performance testing objectives, strategies, and non-functional requirements with stakeholders.
• Develop workload models based on production load patterns and application usage data.
• Design and execute capacity, scalability, stability, and stress tests across product teams.
• Analyze test results to publish pragmatic metrics and troubleshoot CPU/memory bottlenecks.
• Build performance simulators, test bench components, and analysis tools.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in performance engineering.
• Proficiency in JMeter or LoadRunner for API and UI performance testing.
• Deep understanding of HTTP, web protocols, and protocol-level scripting.
• Hands-on experience with APM tools such as Dynatrace, AppDynamics, or NewRelic.
• Experience analyzing performance logs using ELK or Splunk.
• Strong data mining and analysis skills using SQL.
• Knowledge of on-premise versus AWS cloud performance testing strategies.
• Experience with API virtualization concepts.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Kafka or messaging performance testing.
• Familiarity with BlazeMeter or Grafana.
