Description

You will engineer and validate the performance of large-scale distributed systems.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design, script, and run performance tests to validate software and infrastructure readiness.
• Diagnose, track, and resolve performance issues across the entire application stack.
• Collaborate with development teams during story design to ensure feature performance.
• Develop testing and monitoring approaches alongside other engineers.
• Provide performance assessments, tracking trends and conducting deep-dive data analysis.

Required Skills

• 5+ years as a Performance Engineer or similar experience with high-traffic, large-scale distributed systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
• Proficiency in C, C++, C#, or Java programming and automated testing methodologies.
• Experience with Kubernetes and container technologies.
• Experience with open source load testing tools such as Apache JMeter and httperf.
• Familiarity with SQL and SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with web technologies including HTTP, REST, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
• Experience dissecting multi-tiered systems and tracking data flow.
