Description

Execute hardware performance benchmarks and validation for x86 servers, focusing on CPUs, memory, networking, and storage against supplier specifications.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Execute benchmarks on server hardware to evaluate subsystem components and validate performance metrics.
• Automate measurement and validation activities through scripting to streamline testing workflows.
• Swap hardware components such as CPUs, memory, and drives to compare performance results and isolate bottlenecks.
• Debug hardware, firmware/BIOS, or software issues affecting system stability and speed.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in hardware performance testing or validation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering.
• Knowledge of Linux-based operating systems including RedHat, Suse, Ubuntu, or CentOS.
• Experience with scripting using Python, shell script, or other programming languages.
• Ability to perform mechanical hardware tasks, such as swapping CPUs, memory, or drives.
• Ability to work onsite in Morrisville, NC, three days per week.

Preferred Skills

• Experience debugging hardware, firmware/BIOS, or software.
