Description

You will own performance engineering efforts by defining non-functional requirements and executing comprehensive testing strategies across multiple product teams.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Define non-functional requirements and performance testing objectives with business and IT stakeholders.
• Develop workload models by analyzing production load patterns and application usage models.
• Design, create, and execute capacity, scalability, stability, and stress tests.
• Build maintainable performance test scripts, simulators, and test bench components.
• Analyze test results and publish pragmatic metrics to facilitate troubleshooting and remediation.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in performance engineering.
• Proficiency in scripting with JMeter or LoadRunner.
• Deep knowledge of HTTP and web protocols.
• Experience with API and UI performance testing using JMeter, BlazeMeter, or Grafana.
• Hands-on experience with APM tools such as Dynatrace, New Relic, or AppDynamics.
• Ability to analyze performance logs using ELK or Splunk.
• Strong data mining and analysis skills using SQL.
• Experience with on-premise vs. AWS cloud performance testing strategies.
• Understanding of API virtualization concepts and CPU/Memory bottleneck analysis.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Kafka or messaging performance testing.
• Experience testing microservices within the financial services industry.
