Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute performance, load, stress, soak, and scalability tests for database-backed systems.
• Develop test plans, workloads, and scripts to validate:
  • 150k reads/sec performance
  • 25k writes/sec performance
  • mixed-read/write scenarios
• Build automated test frameworks using tools such as K6, JMeter, Gatling, Locust, or custom scripts (Python/Java).
• Test and optimize performance across:
  • Aerospike NoSQL database
  • MySQL RDBMS
  • Hazelcast in-memory data grid
• Analyze system performance using profiling tools, database monitoring, and system metrics.
• Identify performance bottlenecks (database queries, indexing, caching, connection pools, JVM, clustering, etc.).
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to execute performance tests in distributed infrastructures such as Red Hat OpenShift clusters, bare-metal server environments, and large-scale containerized systems.
• Deliver detailed performance reports with actionable improvement recommendations.
• Contribute to performance tuning and configuration optimization for high-scale systems.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong background in performance testing (5+ years preferred).
• Hands-on experience with Aerospike, MySQL, and Hazelcast performance or similar distributed systems.
• Proficiency in performance tools:
  • JMeter, Gatling, Locust, K6 or custom load-generation frameworks
• Strong scripting/programming experience in Python, Java, or Go.
• Deep knowledge of:
  • Query optimization
  • Indexing strategies
  • Data modeling for high throughput
  • Caching and in-memory data grids
• Experience working with large-scale distributed systems.
• Comfortable with Linux environments, shell scripting, and system monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus, etc.).
• Understanding of concurrency, latency, and system throughput analysis.
• Ability to interpret CPU, memory, network, and I/O metrics for performance diagnosis
