Description

You will own performance engineering for Java applications, REST APIs, and microservices. This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute performance, load, stress, and soak tests for complex enterprise applications.
• Analyze system metrics to diagnose bottlenecks, memory leaks, and latency issues.
• Integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines for continuous validation.
• Define performance baselines, SLOs, and acceptance thresholds.
• Present data-driven recommendations to engineering teams and stakeholders.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of performance engineering or testing experience.
• Deep expertise in Java 11+ and Spring Boot microservices.
• Proficiency with Apache JMeter, Gatling, k6, or Locust.
• Strong ability to identify root causes through profiling, thread, and heap analysis.
• Experience with Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, or New Relic.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Helm, and Kubernetes.
• Experience integrating tests into CI/CD (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Familiarity with AWS infrastructure (ECS, EKS, RDS, Lambda).

Preferred Skills

• Experience with APM tools such as Dynatrace or AppDynamics.
• Knowledge of database query optimization and connection pool tuning.
