Description

You design and deliver end-to-end performance testing strategies, tuning roadmaps, and automated frameworks for multi-cloud and third-party systems.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Define and manage non-functional requirements and performance strategies across Azure PaaS (Synapse, Spark, Cosmos DB, Azure Data Lake) and mainframe environments.
• Identify bottlenecks and partner with DevOps, Data, and Engineering teams to optimize ETL processes, data pipelines, and microservices performance.
• Build custom performance tools using Java and develop automated performance testing frameworks.
• Perform capacity planning, chaos engineering, and apply SRE practices to support systems including Kafka, Teradata, and Oracle.
• Produce clear performance insights and recommendations for stakeholders using App Dynamics and Splunk.

Required Skills

• 9+ years of experience in performance testing and tuning.
• Strong proficiency in Java for building custom performance tools.
• Hands-on experience with Azure PaaS services: Synapse, Spark, Cosmos DB, and Azure Data Lake.
• Experience with performance tools such as Performance Center, App Dynamics, and Splunk.
• Knowledge of Mainframe, Big Data, Payments, Kafka, Microservices, Teradata, and Oracle environments.
• Ability to lead performance testing execution, analysis, and capacity planning.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with batch performance testing strategies and AI-driven performance engineering trends.
• Background in mentoring team members and promoting best practices.
