Description

You will own the full lifecycle of Perl-based applications, from requirement analysis and solution design to development, monitoring, and maintenance.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance applications using Perl modules and scripting.
• Analyze client requirements and propose technical solutions that meet efficiency and scalability goals.
• Implement SDLC best practices, including TDD, CI/CD pipelines, and code reviews.
• Take ownership of applications post-deployment, performing daily monitoring to ensure system stability and minimal defects.
• Collaborate with the team to deliver projects on time while adhering to security and performance standards.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional experience in software development.
• Strong proficiency in Perl programming and scripting.
• Experience with Shell scripting and other scripting languages for automation.
• Familiarity with Javascript, Python, and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) best practices.
• Ability to perform requirement analysis and solution design.
• Awareness of performance optimization, security, and scalability principles.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with application ownership and long-term monitoring.
• Background in building automation tools and scripts.
