Description

You will lead the permitting department, managing staff, schedules, and the end-to-end application process for construction projects in Nashville, TN.

Responsibilities

• Manage permitting department tasks, assignments, due dates, and staff efficiency.
• Obtain required documents from architects and engineers to facilitate permit applications.
• Submit and track applications for building, design review, standard plan, and amendment permits.
• Act as the primary liaison between the company and municipal agencies to ensure timely approvals.
• Maintain all company files, site plan applications, licenses, and production status reports.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of extensive in-field, hands-on construction experience.
• Proficiency with Bluebeam.
• Deep knowledge of jurisdictional processes and application turnaround times.
• Proven ability to manage department hours, schedules, and staff evaluations.
• Experience preparing start packages, plans, and specifications for Construction Managers.
• Ability to create and maintain departmental procedures and training for new city processes.
• Strong capability in monitoring reports and narratives using spreadsheets and word documents.
• Any Graduate degree.
